They don’t just get white by themselves do they? During the
winter in the years of WWII the soldiers on the frontline often whitewashed
their vehicles to help conceal them from the enemy – well Evolution
Miniatures has made a new set of three soldiers in 35th scale
that represent just this, let’s have a look at them in our build review…

Nic takes a reve(aling) look at @what Revell has in store for us in 2014
Nothing makes me feel like a kid as a model-kit
catalogue. I remember the fun I had when I received a catalogue and scribbled
an “x” next to the models I wanted to have and build. Each time I took it, more writing appeared in them... I guess I
liked all of the kits...

“Stylish Seasprite” François Laloux builds the new Kittyhawk Kaman SH-2F in 48th scale
Stop sniffing in boxes at garage-sales or dusty attics for that old 1/48 scale Matchbox Kaman Seasprite – Kitty Hawk produced
a new one and it sure is a nice one! The Seasprite was the last helicopter that
Kaman produced in numbers and although only 184 of the early SH-2 were built,
it was for almost 40 years in service with the US Navy.

it fare? Well read on to find out if it is indeed art we can appreciate…

Comparison review: Barracuda studios Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet Mainwheels
We were recently very glad to see the new MENG Me-163 Komet rocket
fighter in 32nd scale hit our workbench. Firstly as it was a marked
upgrade on our older Hasegawa kit and secondly we knew we would be getting a lot
of aftermarket stuff to match it. Well that has happened for both of these kits
with new mainwheels from Barracuda
Studios that claim to improve on both the Hasegawa AND the MENG offering –
but are they indeed an improvement? Read on to see…

Sneak preview of Zoukei Mura’s P-51D/K/ Mustang IV in 32nd scale - plus many add on decals, pilot figures and paint sets to match
We have previewed the new 1/32nd scale Horten Ho-229 from Zoukei-Mura recently – and we have even
been shown a lovely “Horten Ho-229 see-thu
kit” from the SWS manufacturers – but now it is the turn of the fan of
the P-51 Mustang – one of if not the most famous fighter plane in history –
Zoukei Mura has produced the famous “D” version in 1/32nd scale to some acclaim
– now it takes in the younger and improved "Early D" & “K” version as well as incorporating the British Mustang IV to get the comprehensive inside out
treatment by this Japanese juggernaut.

Far from a dull PE review - Gary reviews the Eduard PE set for the Xuntong Tu-2 bomber
OK the Tupolev Tu-2 kit from Xuntong arguably isn’t much of a draw card to a lot of modellers out there - but
we think with the new Eduard
additives into the mix it can be quite something of a little project – so Gary has put together
three reviews of the different Eduard parts for this kit. The reviews are very
good so we thought we would give each of them their time in the sun separately.
Today we start with the Interior upgrade
set….

caring thought we should bring it to you in today’s news...

Now when the T-6 “Texan” was announced by KittyHawk in
1/32nd scale a fair few people got very excited – and one of those people is our
man Nic who got his kit last week – and has already finished it! We thought we
would shoot you his build report as soon as possible so you can get a better
feel for the kit...

Review build - Clayton makes a sales pitch for Bronco’s 1/35th scale Italian Light Civilian Car (Hard Top) w Lady & Girl w Dog
The little Fiat kit in 35th scale from Bronco has been a very useful new tool
for them - This is the fourth development of this tiny car, so we thought we
would build one to see how it goes together – We threw it at Clayton who likes
small vehicles – with a gulp he dove right out of his comfort zone into the
build and diorama to suit it…
