Japanese warriors and a trip to the body-shop - All in this month’s releases from Pegaso.

When looking at classical warriors the Japanese Samurai are often one of people’s first choices for colour and their unique attire and weapons. When sculpting for yourself you often think it would be good to have a guide or maybe a step up showing just how the anatomy works? Well if these two are on your shopping lists then check out Pegaso’s November newbies…

Minamoto no Yoshitsune was born in 1159 and lived for only a short thirty years until 1189. He was a general of the Minamoto clan of Japan he is considered one of the greatest and the most popular warriors of his era, and one of the most famous samurai fighters in the history of Japan.
This famous image of him charging down a slope into battle is one of the most famous in classical Japanese art history.
Victor Konnov has sculpted him in a large piece – quite heavy – in white metal in 90mm or 1/20th scale and he is painted here in colours not unlike the famous picture of him by Diego Ruina.
