Mantis Miniatures new sets look dressed to kill and the animals look dead-scared!

The two new figures sold as individuals or in a set from Mantis Miniatures look quite dapper indeed – these two tankers from the great war  look more in place on the high street than in battle – how we dress down now-days! These two in 35th scale as well as two animal sets are new from Mantis today…

Mantis Miniatures new release for Feb 2015

WWI German Officer
35072
Sculpted by: Helder Agostinho / Painted by: Sang-Eon Lee
Scale 1/35
Price: 12 euro

This First World War German tanker sure looks the part – but maybe for something more genteel than being in a large A7 tank with sixteen other men sweating away with things being shot at them. He has a long pistol in his holster on his waist as well as what looks like a binocular pouch on the other side of his waist. The thick and tall galoshes over his boots are a noted addition as is his long pipe which really does put him in the timeframe. This and his thick moustache and WWI German service cap which really puts him in that time.

The alternative tanker is seen in long blue overalls (but kinda stylishly cut to the side) and he wears just a single pistol in a holster on his belt. The folds of the overalls are very nicely sculpted as is the tunic collar which pokes out of his overalls.  The small bump cap which protects his head almost looks like a bowler cap on this soldier. Again his moustache almost makes him look like Dr Watson to his partner Sherlock!

These two turn of the century hipsters are sold as a set and together they look quite good – you could sell imagine them in front of either a captured British tank or a massive A7 beast!
