The new Clone Troopers from Bandai in July…

1/12th scale kit from Bandai. This will be a bit of a quandary for some people as they cannot decide the one they want to depict. These two helmets will depict the first two phases of Clonetrooper's uniforms - looks like some people will get two so they don't need to choose...

We saw these figures in May at the Shizuoka model show - they looked pretty good!
For those who came in late a little on these clone troopers…

Clone troopers were highly-trained soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic, the armed forces of the Galactic Republic. Bred from the genetic template of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, clone troopers represented the latest evolution in galactic warfare at the time, largely due to their superiority over battle droids.

Their formal introduction as the Republic's new military force coincided with the outbreak of a galaxy-wide civil war; various members of the Republic attempted to secede from the galactic government in order to form the breakaway state known as the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The ensuing conflict — the Clone Wars — gained its name from the clones who made their debut in the first full-scale war since the formation of the Republic.

For three years, clone troopers served under the leadership of the Jedi as they defended the Republic against the Separatist forces. Although the clones repeatedly demonstrated their loyalty to the Jedi and the Republic, often by sacrificing their lives in the Clone Wars, they were in fact the secret weapon of the Sith—an order of dark side practitioners that conspired to take over the galaxy. In spite of their efforts to save the Republic, the clone troopers ultimately played an integral part in the annihilation of the Jedi Order and the rise of the Sith-controlled Galactic Empire.

There are three types of armour in the Phase 1 Clone trooper - Phase 2 Clone Trooper - Phase 3 Stormtrooper

The Clones armour is the thick white suit that all or the majority of Clone Troopers and Stormtroopers wear. It helps protect them in combat, as well as in dangerous environments.
The actual armour made from thick metal, while the under armour is made of a thick latex material, which appears to be thin. Stormtrooper Armor was often nicknamed "plastic junk" or "scrap metal" from the Rebel Soldiers and numerous bounty hunters during the Galactic Civil War Era.

The clone troopers who served the Republic became known as Imperial Stormtroopers, enforcing the rule of Emperor Palpatine during the early years of the New Order. As a result of their accelerated ageing process, the clones were ultimately decommissioned and replaced by these recruits (phase three of the armour) several years before the Battle of Yavin.
