We have already seen pidgeons, chickens, ducks & geese and sheep from MiniArt - Now the menagerie is added to woth four legged felines and canines to pack out your diroama scenes.

The Subject: Dogs and cats...
Cats transitioned from wild, solitary predators into indispensable wartime companions, largely due to their elite hunting instincts and calming presence. While dogs were officially drafted into frontline tactical combat, cats were the unsung heroes of the high seas, serving aboard naval and merchant vessels to protect food supplies and vital electrical wiring from destructive rodents. 
Beyond their practical pest-control duties, these "ship’s cats" were fiercely protected by sailors who viewed them as good-luck charms capable of predicting storms through changes in their behaviour. On the home front and in military camps, troops actively adopted stray cats left homeless by bombings, finding that the simple act of petting a feline provided profound psychological comfort and a brief escape from the trauma of the war.
Dogs were officially drafted into World War II as highly trained tactical assets, transforming from household companions into elite frontline soldiers. Through specialized programs like the US "Dogs for Defense," citizens donated their own pets to serve as sentries, messengers, and scouts, where their acute senses saved thousands of human lives by detecting ambushes up to 500 metres away. These canine heroes performed extraordinary feats, from Britain's "paradogs", who were trained to parachute out of planes into enemy territory, to dogs like Chips, who single-handedly charged and captured an enemy machine-gun nest in Italy. 
Navigating treacherous minefields and delivering critical messages under heavy fire, these dogs displayed immense bravery and formed unbreakable bonds with their handlers, forever changing the role of animals in modern warfare.


The kit:
The kit comes on six plastic injection-moulded sprues that combine to make up 12 cats & 6 dogs in the one box. These animals are posed in a variety of ways & they are suitable for both civilian and military dioramas – anything you can think of really!

Each of the animals comes on these sprues in one piece. Both cats and dogs are included in several types.
