Issue #42 in the Nuts & Bolts stable gives us insight into one of the most common vehicles in the German armed forces of World War Two - the Einheitsdiesel – l.gl.Lkw., off. mit Einheitsfahrgestell für l.Lkw. Basically, these were the 6X6 trucks that moved Hitler's war machine from one end of the continent to another - and their importance and prominence in the field are often forgotten amongst some of the sexier vehicles of the German war effort - but no longer!
This new book is penned by Holger Erdmann and it is presented in dual German & English texts in a softcover, A4 portrait format that encloses over four hundred photos - (of these 230 contemporary photos from manuals, combat and war fronts in black and white, a number of them previously unpublished.
Contemporary photos of the trucks in operation after the ware are also provided - some of these vehicles lived a very long service life
There are also 135 colour photos of surviving vehicles in public and private collections, the usual standard of walkarounds of restored and original vehicles.
For the modellers especially there are thirty-seven colour photos of three different models of  6X6 trucks of the German forces from noted modellers Tony Greenland, Vinnie Branigan and David Nickels.
Along with the regular text section covering the development of the vehicles, there are six charts of the organization of these vehicles in units (Kriegstärke-Nachweisungen KStN)  and twenty-seven pages of scale drawings of all versions and details in 1/35 scale from Lieven DeConinck.
To further bring these vehicles to life, there are sixteen full-colour profiles of different camouflage schemes of these trucks from Laurent Lecocq. These are provided with comparison shots of the real things to contrast with.
You can order this book now - it will be  shipping on the 29th of May, 2019
