D-Day Miniatures have released an awesome new set and single figures centred around the cold climes of Hungary in 1945. The latest set of five figures, an accessory set for the Zundapp 750 and a set of new heads are all in our new preview from D-Day miniatures.

There is yet another new figure set from D-Day Miniatures Studio to get excited about. In this set, called “Unternehmen Frühlingserwachen” 3.SS Pz.Div. Soldiers, Hungary, Winter 1945 For Zündapp KS 750 Motorcycle". A title is translated roughly as "Operation spring awakening", the new set centres around the officers on a Zundapp bike and sidecar in Hungary in the chill of 1945 in WWII.

Pawel Krasicki sculpted, then cast these figures in resin in singles or combination sets. He has done some intricate work in a natural scene as you can see here...
It includes five figures and accessories for a Zündapp KS 750. D-Day Miniatures also has included a six head set to compliment your other figures this month. We look at them all in our preview...

Kit no #35188 Zündapp KS 750 Winter Accessories is another stowage set in D-Day Miniature's 1/35th scale range.
Of course, you will have to get your own Zundapp 750 and sidecar, but the resin accessories are nmeant to fit on to the excellent Great Wall Hobby kit and maybe with some alterations to the older Tamiya kit also...
A panzerfaust, several packs and wrapped camouflaged covers, thick sheepskin covered riding gloves, two water bottles, a shovel and bread bag, a medical first aid kit, map pack, a soviet flag wrapped and a pair of binoculars are all included in this kit.

This SS Schutze is seen in improvised winter gear of thick, quilted pants with his tunic covered by  a sheepskin vest. These were prized by soldiers for obvious reasons in colder climates during the war. Notice his PPSH-41 with drum magazine he is carrying? that and the thick wool lined boots to keep him warm.

Another soldier seen here in similarly warm attire, this time a reversible parka and reversible thick lined pants, He is seen with his Mp44 by his side, the ammo pouches on his belt, he has a bread bag and water flask on his rear.

Reading his map, this motorcycle rider of the SS is seen in his "Kharkov" style parka and again in thick reversible pants. The helmet on his head and goggles on the helmet would be pretty important in the snow and cold of Hungary in 1945.

The Waffen SS Officer also has a map in his hands, maybe they are both a little stuck for directions? That would explain the gaggle of soldiers around him in the "big set". The long sheep skinned double breasted jacket looks to be  custom made coat which often officers had made by company tailors. A pipe in his hand as he sits on the side of his sidecar.

In a peaked version of the M43 cap and an ushanka cross - this soldier is the rear seat passenger of the motorcycle here. the sheep skinned jacket above his tunic and reversible pants as he sits back and waits for the rest of the guys to work out where they hell they are going?
