The Opel Blitz medium truck formed the backbone of the logistics and transport system of the German Army during the Second World War. Produced in significant numbers, it was characterised by its flexibility and robustness in service, enhanced by the rear axle combined with twin wheels, which ensured greater payload capacity under all operating conditions.

Designed to be easy to manufacture, repair, and maintain, it was effectively employed by the Wehrmacht on all major operational fronts, from North Africa to Russia, demonstrating the soundness of its design. The Supermarine Spitfire fighter can undoubtedly be considered one of the most famous aircraft in the history of aviation and an icon of British aeronautical production. A single-engine, low-wing aircraft equipped with effective offensive armament, it formed, in its early versions, together with the Hawker Hurricane, the backbone of the Royal Air Force fighter units during the Battle of Britain against the German Luftwaffe. Victory in the Battle of Britain helped to secure great prestige for the Spitfire.

It was characterised by its harmonious design, elliptical wing, and powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. During the war, in order to respond to the technological innovations of its adversaries that led to the development of the formidable Focke-Wulf Fw 190, the Spitfire was continuously evolved in its aerodynamic configuration and engines. The Spitfire Mk IX then entered production and, thanks to its performance, was able to compete on equal terms with the most modern German fighters. Piloted by the most famous aces of the Royal Air Force, it achieved a significant number of aerial victories.

The Transit is the name of a line of light commercial vehicles produced by Ford/Germany and Ford/Great Britain, starting in 1953 for the European market. The real turning point was represented by the “Second Series” Transit introduced to the market in 1965. The vehicle’s configuration, characterised by a front-mounted engine, wide track, and low loading floor, was ideal for optimising transport activities.

The Transit was also an innovation for its time and offered in a huge number of versions and configurations, ranging from the panel van to the chassis cab with a flatbed and the minibus. A true partner for craftsmen, small businesses, and large companies throughout Europe that needed to meet short-range commercial mobility requirements. RANGE ROVER POLICE

The Range Rover Classic was a milestone in the history of off-road vehicles. It was produced, in numerous variants and versions, from 1970 to 1996. It was the first vehicle produced under the “Range Rover” brand and, from 1981, it was available in two- or four-door versions. Thanks to its 4x4 traction and its robust structure—simple in design yet very reliable—the Range Rover offered good off-road performance.

Used by law enforcement agencies and police departments, it was ideal for operating in the countryside, parks, and rural areas. Highly appreciated by crews during long patrols and for carrying out special operations, including the transport of canine units. In the 1980s and 1990s it became a true symbol of the British police, with its reassuring presence in every corner of the country.

AS332 Super Puma

The AS332 Super Puma is a medium twin-engine helicopter with a four-blade rotor designed by the French company Aérospatiale, now Airbus Helicopters. Equipped with two Turbomeca engines, it can reach a cruising speed of 260 km/h. The helicopter’s airframe was designed to withstand intensive use in all operational environments, including long-range missions, thanks to a range of 800 km.

Furthermore, the adoption of retractable landing gear significantly improves aerodynamics during flight phases. The combination of these features has, over time, built the reputation of the “Super Puma” as a robust, reliable helicopter, ideal for the most demanding and challenging military and civilian missions. It has also been continuously upgraded in terms of avionics and electronic navigation support systems to further extend its useful operational life.

AV-8B Harrier II

The AV-8B Harrier II multirole attack and close air support aircraft was born from the collaboration between British and American aeronautical industries. It represents a significant evolution compared to the first short takeoff and vertical landing (V/STOL) aircraft of the Harrier family. The AV-8B was developed and implemented to operate from aircraft carriers without catapults and from amphibious assault ships, as well as from improvised landing strips.

Thanks to these characteristics, it has been widely employed by the United States Marine Corps, including in operational contexts. Capable of carrying an offensive payload consisting of air-to-air missiles, guided bombs, and air-to-surface missiles, the AV-8B is characterised by considerable operational flexibility and the ability to perform numerous types of missions.
