It's getting colder out - so Meng sends shots of their two cold-war kits built up to warm your heart

Meng from the Far East have supplied us some pictures of their latest creation – the 1/72nd G.91R Light Fighter-Bomber built up and painted – this little kit looks like it has lots of potential in the right hands – they have also released details a while ago about their second delta winged release in 1/72nd scale the delta Dagger (flown by Ex-President George Bush Sr. himself). We thought we would bring them both to you in our preview…
 
G.91 was the first combat aircraft designed and developed by Italy itself after WWII. It served in the Italian Air Force and the Luftwaffe. It was also used by the Portuguese Air Force in their wars in Africa. Besides this, G.91s was used by the Frecce Tricolori from 1964 to 1981. The G.91R was the most widely used version in the G.91 series.

F-102A Delta Dagger, designed and manufactured by Convair, was the first supersonic all-weather interceptor and also the world's first aircraft applied the 'Area Rule'. There were two different wings for the F-102As: the 'Case X' and 'Case XX' wings. The F-102As were mainly deployed in North American, while a small number of them were deployed in overseas bases during its service. F-102As also served in Vietnam War. George W. Bush, the 43rd President of United States of America, served in the 111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron (FIS) of Air National Guard Station as an F-102A pilot.

1/72 scale plastic model kit of F-102A Delta Dagger is 289mm in total length and 161mm in width. This kit with has rich and fine details in the wing and along the whole fuselage. The cockpit is detailed and its canopy can be built either open or closed. The weapon bay is precise and accurate. Built-in missile pylons are also retractable. Accurate model lines completely reproduce the perfect shape of the aircraft. Besides this, the landing gear and airbrakes can be built either open or closed as well.
