At first we thought MiniArt had gone into partnership with Trumpeter! Our fears were soon allayed….

The latest figure in 16th scale from MiniArt includes a horse! Well he is a cavalry figure and all…

Kit No: 16035
Napoleonic wars Series
1/16th scale
Styrene

This new kit in the Napoleonic war series depicts a mounted trumpeter from the 2nd Westphalian Cuirassiers Regiment of the Royal Prussian Army.
Being set in 1809 he was an important part of Napoleon’s “Grande Armée’s” Heavy Cavalry Brigades. The trumpeter was the man signal and order giver over the battlefield and this was a privileged position. The fact these soldiers could transmit orders from the commanders straight to the soldiers on over the din and noise of battle.

The sprues.. firstly the Trumpeter and his gear
 And his steed..
This  soldier you can see all made up – the seams in the plastic moulding of the horse and rider look cleverly concealed under saddle and creases of clothes. Only the seam on the horse’s heart looks like it may need some attention.

This horse and rider combo should be available early next year from MiniArt’s distributors…
