Though it was only in commission for five years, USS South Dakota saw quite a bit of action. She served in the Pacific, participating in the Battle of Guadalcanal and taking quite a bit of damage, and in the Atlantic escorting convoys. While fighting at Guadalcanal, South Dakota had aboard the youngest service member to serve in WWII for the US-Calvin Graham, 12. After a second tour in the Pacific, South Dakota was put in reserve in 1946 and sold for scrap in 1962. This limited edition kit features photo-etched accessory parts for many pieces and full decals.

At up to 123 million dollars apiece, the F-35 is roughly eight times as expensive as the F-16 it is replacing. However, in terms of combat capability, there's no comparison. The F-35 carries larger loads further and faster than the F-16 and it has a reduced radar and infrared signature. After some teething problems, over two hundred F-35s are in service, nine with the Israeli Air Force. This limited edition kit features full decals for an Israeli Air Force version.

Lots of aircraft had been used to destroy enemy subs, but the S2F was the first US Navy aircraft to be purpose-built for the task. It could operate from carriers, carry nearly 5,000 lbs of ordnance, fly for over a thousand miles, detect subs from altitude, and blow them out of the water with an impressive variety of weapons up to and including nuclear depth charges. Trackers served with the armed forces of many foreign countries and in civilian firefighting roles. This limited edition kit features decals for JMSDF and US Navy aircraft.

When the Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v was unveiled at the 1989 Geneva Motorshow, rally fans' expectations were high. Fortunately, they were met when the car took home the top prize at the 1989 Sam Remo Rally. Its turbocharged, 2-litre 16v engine reached a top speed of 137 mph (220 km/h), which became the key to the car's success on the rally course. This limited edition kit features a realistic recreation of the celebrated Lancia Delta with detailed parts.

Kaoru Shintani's action-packed manga, Area-88, debuted in 1979. It was an instant hit, exciting readers with the exploits of Shin Kazama, a mercenary fighter pilot stationed at a top-secret air base called Area-88. In both the anime and OVA, a bearded Danish mercenary named Greg Gates serves with Shin. The series, which was praised for its white-knuckle dogfighting action, inspired multiple films and a TV series.

Although Japan was years behind most of the other belligerent nations in radar technology during WWII, it nevertheless had to confront the problem of enemies attacking after dark. Ever increasing raids, especially late in the war, were devastating Japanese cities. To stop some of the attackers, the incredibly maneuverable Mitsubishi ZERO was pressed into a night fighter role. They were equipped with upward-firing 20mm guns intended to tear the bellies out of bombers. Without radar, though, they had difficulty finding their targets. This limited edition kit features slanting gun, droptank, and decals for two IJN aircraft.

The Battle of Dunkirk tested the mettle of troops from many countries. Early on, RAF pilot Colin F. Gray's Spitfire was severely damaged in a dogfight against a Bf 109. The skirmish sent the Spitfire into a dangerous dive, yet Gray miraculously landed safely. By WWII's end, Gray had 27 kills, making him New Zealand's top flying ace. This limited edition kit combo features a Spitfire Mk.I model with two RAF marking options, plus a Bf 109E kit and one He 111 kit with one Luftwaffe marking option each.

Founded in 1941, the Oregon Air National Guard (ANG) served in WWII, operated as a national aerospace defence unit for decades, and participated in the Global War on Terrorism. For the group's 75th anniversary in 2016, the unit painted up one of its aircraft in a special livery. This limited edition kit features an F-15 fighter aircraft with a special marking set for the Oregon Air National Guard's 143rd Fighter Wing, 114th Fighter Squadron, 75th-anniversary paint scheme.

Fans of Leiji Matsumoto's mangas and anime films are aware of his affinity to World War II vehicles. Nowhere is this more apparent than in Matsumoto's "The Cockpit," which features several WWII icons, including the King Tiger. His enthusiasm for WWII isn't limited to print media. For proof, check out the anime adaptation of "The Cockpit," which debuted in 1993. This limited edition kit features a design inspired by Leiji Matsumoto's battlefield manga "Tiger of Rhine," included in his book, "The Cockpit."

When armed with short-ranged 40mm cannons like the aircraft in this kit, the Ki-44 "Tojo" was one of few aircraft available to the Japanese that constituted a serious threat to the Boeing B-29 Superfortress. Pilots had to get close, within 490ft, just to get a chance of a hit with the 40s. However, if they did hit, lots and lots of really not good things ensued. This limited edition kit features 40mm cannon parts, brass gun barrel, and decals for two 47th Flight Regiment aircraft.
