News today of Italeri's new-tooled 1/48th scale kit dedicated to the 5th generation all-weather multirole combat aircraft of the F-35B Lightning II kit are with us. Today we will look at the box art, sprues & final assembly test kit put together, the decal sheets and the photo-etched fret that come with the kit.
Italeri's new-tooled kit of the F-35B Lightning II is due in August. The 1/48th scale kit is completely newly tooled and includes plastic parts and photo-etch for some of the smaller details in the kit.
The sprues of the kit:
The kit is already in the final test phase, with the final test show shown to modellers today, built up and unpainted...
This version of the kit will have full access to the lift fans and an opening cockpit to fully display the internals of the aircraft.
A look from underneath shows you the option to have this kit in "Beast Mode" as it is called, with a full weapons load of air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons externally, including missiles held int he internal bays for a stealth operation load out.
The underside of the lift fan showing the vented exhaust on the bottom of the aircraft and the detailed nose gear bay are shown here. Not the faceting on the aircraft underside near the nose.
The option to show the nozzle displayed straight and downwards for static, flying and landing are offered in this kit.
A view of the unique to F-35B top air intake of the Lightning II will always be a great point of difference to this kit over other aircraft. The cockpit itself looks fairly well detailed from this angle.
Smart and Iron (dumb) bombs are included, with GBU-12, GBU-31 JDAM, AIM-9X, AIM-120 AMRAAM are in the box.
A large decal sheet is provided that covers not only the common parts of the kit, weapons and stencils, but five different choices of colours and markings for the F-35B Lighting II.

The Panzer IV was the most extensively used German tank during the Second World War. It represented the “backbone” of the German Panzer Divisions on all operational theatres. The production of Panzer IV Ausf. F, started in 1941, marked a decisive boost in the evolution of the tank. It featured an improved armour on the turret and hull.

The first version of Panzer IV F,  featuring the traditional 7.5 cm. KwK 37 short-barreled cannon,  were not able to fight successfully against the Soviet T-34 and KV-1 heavy armoured tank.  The adoption of the anti-tank design KwK 40 long-barreled cannon, on the Ausf. F2 version has decisively increased the Panzer IV effectiveness against enemy tanks. Thanks to its new high velocity and high penetration gun, the Panzer IV became, once again, “lethal” on the battlefields. They were used, albeit in limited numbers, with the 15th and 21st Panzer Divisions on the North African front.

The "Land Rover" was certainly one of the best known symbols of "made in England" on 4 wheels and is in fact a milestone in the history of off-road vehicles. It was born immediately after the war, with the first prototypes made in 1947, to satisfy both civil and military tasks. Inspired, even if not directly, by the American Jeep, it was characterized by 4x4 all-wheel drive and a sturdy and reliable structure capable of tackling the most difficult and demanding routes.

The aluminum body made it lighter but, at the same time, more resistant to corrosion and a long service life. In 1971, when the Series III was introduced, more than a million units had already been produced and built for both civil and military use, both in the 88-inch "standard wheelbase" version or in the 109 "long wheel base" version inches, the latter reproduced in the kit.
