DH-031 - "Saab 35 Draken - Flying with the European Air Forces" is published by  HPH. It is a 116 page book on the famous cold war warrior double delta design, so loved by many.

There's also a lot of action in this book, showing the jet on the ground and in the air. The photos in this book were taken from the jets of the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight and the Danish Team Karup, combined with photos of operational jets of the air forces of Sweden, Austria, Denmark and Finland. Every detail of the jet is included in this book: wings, fuselage, landing gear, landing gear bays, vertical tail, etc.
Fuselage, landing gear, gear bays, engines, wings, ailerons/speed brakes, vertical tails, cockpit, Avenger gun, everything is included in this book.
A huge chapter on the cockpit of the Draken is included, showing the cockpits of different versions, both single seat and two seat aircraft and some real close-ups of the ejection seat specifically designed for the jet by Saab.
The double delta design, using elevons, was unique and was one of the reasons why the jet had an operational career of 40 years. Did you know that the Draken was the first jet to perform the Cobra-manoeuvre, which became famous when the Flanker performed them during airshows? The Draken however, is a much smaller jet, with only one engine!
This book will hopefully inspire modellers to add some detail to their 1/48 or 1/72 scale Hasegawa kits!
