MiniArt has re-released an old and out of print favourite back into their range. The sought after set "Battle Of The Bulge. Ardennes 1944" in plastic has been re-issued - but what is new?

For a start you have the base set with five figures, Three captured US GI's in cold weather clothing, marching to captivity under the watchful guard of two German soldiers. First, the three GI captives on the one sprue...

Then the two German captors, both with a base set of accessories like the Gewehr 43 / Karabiner 43 & ammo pouches , optical field glasses, bread bag, helmet, entrenching tool, pistol in its holster, bread bad, flask and gas mask cannister. A basic set, but what if you want to make something different in your scene, more or different weapons and equipment?

In this special edition version e see an extra three sprues packed full of German armed forces special equipment. One sprue houses just the equipment, with the M43 helmets, gas mask cannisters, flasks & entrenching tools, bayonets, bread bags and ammo pouches

The second sprue houses more equipment for the later war WWII soldier, the M43 helmets are there again, but these have the cloth camouflage covers on them, the Zeltbahn ponchos/ tents are wrapped up, more water flasks, knives, grenades, entrenching shovels opened and closed.

Lastly, a plethora of weapons and ammo - Mp-40s, Kar.98s, a Walther & flare pistols, pistols in pouches and open pouches to show a removed pistol, ammo for all of these, map pouches, knives and an ammo box. Pretty much everything a German WWII soldier would carry on these three sprues.
