Gecko going big with 16th scale universal gun carrier & Pak 40....

Universal Carrier Mk.II
From Gecko Models
Kit No# 16GM0016
1/16th scale
Workable tracks
Photo Etch included
Full driving compartment
The new-tool British Army Universal Gun carrier in 1/16th scale was just announced by Gecko model. We have some CADs of what the kit looks like and the additions in etch and stowage to bring the kit to life in this larger scale.
Although there is no engine in this kit, the driver's compartment and hold for goods or troops is included.  The spare wheel on the front armour and customizable side skirts are shown here...

The rear of the kit shows the rear toolbox and the gun mounts that carry the firearms in the cab space. You can see the simple but smart additions of photo-etch in the kit on the rear. Clasps, exhaust guars and latches are using metal sparingly.
A plastic waterproof rolled up canvas is included in the kit to drape over the crew compartment.
There is also a canvas pouch to hold the carrier's camouflage netting in the one place. It looks suitably wrinkly in the canvas and holey in the netting don't you think?
The tracks on this kit are workable, they have a one piece with a pin either side for construction.

German 7.5cm Pak 40 Anti-tank gun early production
From Gecko Models
Kit No# 16GM001
1/16th scale
Workable tracks
Photo Etch included
Also in 1/16th scale is Gecko Models new German 7.5cm Pak 40 Anti-tank gun early production. We only have the box art for this one so far, and we do not know if the ammunition and the crates that are shown in the art are included (it would be a good idea to have it) but we do know that there are decals and photo-etch supplied for markings and for the thinner parts of the kit.

These kits have not been advertised by distributors yet - which is usually the first people know of them, so no pricing or other information yet. We will let you know when we know more.
