Neverland's new CADs of Geländewagen "Wolf" SSA 35th scale

Geländewagen "Wolf" SSA
1/35 scale
Kit No # 55001
The Subject: Geländewagen "Wolf" SSA
Beneath the understated civilian off-road appearance of the "Wolf" SSA lies armour rarely found in vehicles of its kind. The Bundeswehr has equipped a large number of "Wolf" SSA vehicles, widely using them for communication, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, battlefield rescue, and more. Its body and windows are all bulletproof, meeting NATO's STANAG 4569 standard, and mine-resistant armour can also be optionally installed underneath.

The Kit:
Neverland Hobby's model faithfully reproduces the Wolf's features. You will also receive a complete chassis with an engine, along with multiple equipment options to help you create different configurations of the "Wolf" SSA. The hood and all doors can be posed in an open position. Additionally, the kit includes rubber tyres, G36KA4 rifles, finely detailed but easy-to-assemble PE parts, and 3D-printed parts.
Features of this kit:
• Includes a complete chassis structure with an engine.
• Includes mine-resistant armour components.
• Includes various components that can be assembled into vehicles for different purposes.
• All doors and the hood can be made to open.
• Includes rubber tyres.
• Includes reflective stickers for the rearview mirrors.
• Includes G36KA4 rifles.
• Includes detailed & easy-to-assemble 3D-printed parts and PE parts.

The parts of the kit...
The kit allows you to assemble the doors in either the open or closed position. You’ll also find the armoured spall liner on the interior door panels. Notably, the bullet-resistant glazing is fixed (non-retractable), so the doors omit the window regulator mechanism—an authentic detail faithfully reproduced.
The chassis structure of the actual vehicle has a somewhat retro design compared to modern armoured vehicles, and it is meticulously replicated in this feature in this kit.
Due to moulding technology limitations and plastic material constraints, Neverland did not make this a fully articulated chassis. However, they have preserved as much detail as possible across all chassis components. If you plan to display the chassis, its detailing should meet your expectations.
The "Wolf" SSA was extensively deployed by the Bundeswehr for a range of combat operations, requiring specialised equipment not found on standard Wolf vehicles. Neverland Hobby’s kit includes multiple external and internal accessories, allowing you to customise a unique model according to your preferences.
To enhance the kit’s expressiveness, the "Wolf" SSA includes 3D-printed parts and photo-etched components as standard. These are designed to fit the kit easily and enhance the kit rather than make it harder to build. The kit includes beginner-friendly aids like masking stickers and pre-cut mirror foil, while the 3D-printed and photo-etched parts have been optimised for easy assembly.

Marking Choices:
The "Wolf" SSA model kit features three historically significant paint schemes that bring distinctive character and cultural context to your build.

Standard and up-armoured variants are options of this build.
- For Bundeswehr enthusiasts, you can recreate the classic NATO three-tone camouflage used by military police units stationed in Hanover—a rare subject in scale modelling, as police vehicles seldom appear in kits.

- Alternatively, depict its deployment during Operation Enduring Freedom in Kabul with ISAF forces. Its occasional VIP protection duties suggest possible use by Germany’s elite KSK special forces, adding an air of mystery to this configuration.

- The most dramatic option represents the UN MINUSMA mission in Gao, Mali—considered the UN’s most dangerous peacekeeping operation. Here, Bundeswehr troops fought alongside international forces in brutal conditions to maintain local order.
As an armoured vehicle, the "Wolf" SSA may not be large in size, but it certainly doesn’t lack visual interest or detail. Striking the right balance between authentic representation and buildability posed a significant challenge for the design team.
