F-15E Strike Eagle
From Italeri
No # 90166
1/72nd scale
Model Dim.
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle design was initiated in the 1970s to equip the United States Air Force fighter squadrons with an advanced and high-performance jet fighter. The effective and robust aerodynamic design layout led to the production of the two-seat “all-weather” F-15E Strike Eagle fighter-bomber. Entering into service with the USAF in the late 1980s and replacing the outdated F-111, its operational roles included ground attack, bombing and interdiction missions.

It retained the flight design characteristics of the original F-15, such as the two tail drifts, sturdy mid-wing and tandem two-seater cabin, in the rear of which was the Weapon Systems Officer. From this position the officer selected the aircraft’s route management, target tracking and electronic countermeasures. The F-15E was deployed to numerous operational theatres, such as the Desert Shield and Desert Storm campaigns of the early 1990s.

Particular attention was given to improving the radio systems, which had to coordinate operational activities with other supporting aircraft—such as tankers or attack and support helicopters—needed to safely locate downed or missing pilots. Robust, reliable, and featuring long flight endurance, it was widely used during the Vietnam War.

Model Dim.16,5 cm
The Toyota Land Cruiser is a benchmark in automotive manufacturing. The renowned family of off-road vehicles was developed by the Japanese company Toyota Motor Corporation in the 1950s. It is in fact the company’s longest-running nameplate from the ‘Land of the Rising Sun’ and has constantly evolved in design, engines, and technological solutions. Among the most iconic models, the J-40 series, produced from the 1960s to the 1980s, stands out. Characterised by a classic and understated design, it was known for its robustness and reliability.

The Panzerkampfwagen V “Panther” was undoubtedly one of the most famous tanks of the Second World War. It was developed as a direct response to the Soviet T-34 and KV-1 tanks, which outclassed the now outdated Panzer III and Panzer IV on the Eastern Front in terms of performance and firepower. Powered by a 700-horsepower Maybach V-12 engine, it was armed with the highly effective high-velocity 75 mm KwK 42 gun, particularly suited for anti-tank use.
