Preview: ICM's Five Releases for June...
The team at ICM Ukraine is continuing their dedication to the hobby despite ongoing challenges, working with absolute enthusiasm to support their country's economy. Their upcoming June wave features an incredibly diverse mix of subjects, ranging from massive 1/35 scale helicopters to World War I infantry defence scenes and specialised acrylic paint sets.
S-64E, Firefighting Helicopter
Kit No. #53060
1/35th scale
559 pcs
Length 775mm / Height 225mm
This massive 1/35 scale release of the legendary Sikorsky S-64E Skycrane is an absolute showstopper for helicopter model enthusiasts. The kit accurately reproduces the complex, heavy-duty fuselage, the intricate landing gear arrangement, and the detailed rotor transmission components. It comes fully equipped with a specialised, underslung 2,650-gallon aerial firefighting water tank system featuring microprocessor-controlled doors. The real-world aircraft relies on complex pond and sea snorkels to scoop up massive amounts of water in flight at speeds reaching 45 knots. This allows it to deliver a staggering 30,000 gallons of water per hour directly onto raging wildfires.
Decals are included to build the world-famous Australian variant nicknamed “Eric The Water Bomber", alongside versions serving with the US Forest Service and Los Angeles Fire Department.
Last Marauder (B-26G Bomber)
Kit No. #48329
1/48th scale
380 pcs
Length 387mm / Wingspan 453mm
Capturing a truly historic aviation milestone, this 1/48 scale kit represents 'Tail End Charlie'—the final B-26G Marauder bomber to roll off the Martin factory production line in April 1945. The aircraft holds a unique place in history, as its maiden test flight was co-piloted by chief designer Ken Abel, making him one of the only pilots to ever fly both the first prototype and the absolute last of the 5,266 Marauders built.
This specific aircraft never experienced combat; instead, it was transferred directly to the French Air Force just two days after Germany's surrender, spending its remaining four-year service life at the CEAM Test Centre for technical evaluations and transport missions. The kit features highly accurate late-production variant geometry, beautifully detailed cockpit layouts, full fuselage interior equipment, and custom decal sheets mapping out its post-war French career.
‘Tankabwehr, 1918’ WWI German Anti-Tank Unit Kit
No #35724
1/35th scale
96 pcs (32 + 20 + 44)
Perfect for diorama builders looking to capture a gritty, high-stakes combat scene, this 1/35 scale figure and weapon set depicts a German Army anti-tank unit from the final year of the Great War.
The four figures made up - two in each gun team...
The kit chronicles the tactical shift that occurred after British tanks first appeared on the Somme in 1916, leaving infantry scrambling for improvised countermeasures until the introduction of steel-core "K" armour-piercing bullets and dedicated heavy weapons.
The centrepieces of this set are the massive, two-man 13.2mm Mauser Tankgewehr M1918 anti-tank rifle—capable of puncturing 26mm steel plates at 100 metres—and a crew-served MG 08 machine gun. The highly detailed multi-part figures replicate the uniform modifications and field equipment typical of these specialised defensive units, designed to target the viewing slits and fuel tanks of oncoming enemy armour.
Wehrmacht Light Armored Vehicles (4-in-1 Set)
Kit No. #DS7207
1/72nd scale
220 pcs (59 + 59 + 49 + 53)
A treat for braille-scale armour enthusiasts! This comprehensive 1/72-scale box set includes parts to build four distinct German four-wheeled light armoured reconnaissance cars based on the classic Horch all-wheel-drive standardised chassis.
Modellers can tackle the standard, open-topped Sd.Kfz.222 equipped with its 20mm cannon and signature mesh grenade screens. The bundle also builds the dedicated Sd.Kfz.223 reconnaissance vehicle, featuring its prominent folding-frame radio antenna. Rounding out the collection are the specialised, turretless Sd.Kfz.260 and Sd.Kfz.261 command vehicles, which sacrifice heavy weapons to accommodate extensive internal communications equipment and expanded four-man crews.
Highly detailed hulls, independent suspension pieces, and decal options for various theatres of conflict are included for all four builds.
Acrylic Paint Set for Vehicle Interiors 1930–1940
Kit No. 3100
Six x 12ml colours in the one small set
To complement their growing range of vintage civilian and military vehicle kits, ICM is also releasing a focused acrylic paint set. This collection features chemically optimised formulas curated specifically to replicate the unique colour palettes found inside automotive cabins, dashboard environments, instrument clusters, and textile upholstery tones typical of mass-produced cars and transport trucks manufactured throughout the 1930s and 1940s.
Due in next month, you can find out about ICM's other releases on the ICM plastic model kits website
