Dynamo Models has a new set of eleven figures, made from 3D-printed resin and scaled at 1/35th scale (though 1/72nd & 1/48th scale are said to be coming). We thought we would look at the composition of the set and then the single figures in sequence for you here in this preview.

The big set contains 11 German infantrymen at rest. 
Price: €160
The scene – the early World War Two period – and at the rear of the column, near a farm or countryside building, the men take a short break. It’s a moment for a quick meal, a drink of water, or a few minutes resting in the shade before continuing on their way. 

With this set, the Dynamo models team aimed to capture these simple, everyday moments—away from direct action yet essential for bringing the scene to life: fatigue, waiting, field routines, and small respites of rest.

Seen leaning forward with one leg on the ammo box, he is looking on, perhaps down the road, but perhaps at his men who are making the best out of their rest time. He looks very much like the stereotypical early-war German officer with the neat appearance, peaked cap and high boots. Two head choices are included in this box.

This soldier is taking the time for a pit stop on the way forward, with careful consideration to keep his high boots clean! The soldier carries a KAR98 and ammo around his belt in leather pouches, while he also interestingly has a map pouch on this right breast.

Literally one-upping his comrade, you can almost feel the push to get to the front line on this soldier's face. He appears to be one of those dudes who needs to "2" partially naked, as his service tunic and M40 helmet are off, resting with a log which also comes in the kit.

"Popeye" here likes to remain protected while he poop-poops! He's seen on the job but still smokin' - his helmet on in case of any incoming (or outgoing) stray shrapnel.

Sitting down, cleaning his Kar 98, this soldier is doing his first duty - to keep his weapon serviceable in his spare time. seen with a ciggie in his mouth here, and out of his tunic, with his thick pants and knee-high jackboots a feature of this digital sculpt.

This soldier is sculpted sitting down on a wooden crate, like his comrades, in his undershirt and thick uniform pants, but this fellow is taking time to write in a journal or diary, perhaps sharing his experience, perhaps writing a letter of complaint! Who knows, but this guy has a moustache and looks a little older than his mates we feel.

Now this is my type of guy! Sitting fully reclined, in a classic pose with his hand behind his head, resting on the softest thing he could find, reading a book in his spare time. The body language of this one shows a casual resting pose, not so much a look of exhaustion.

Pausing on the roadside, this man could be themed as taking a long or a short rest, as he is still dressed in his full uniform, with a flask in hand, taking a swig, while holding on to this M40 helmet in the other hand. This fellow also has a map pouch on his right breast side, normally resserved for officers, NCO's or motorcycle soldiers.

Resting besides a supplied large kitchen mess container, this soldier is enjoying not only his rest but also the spoils of the contents of the tin as he eats his lunch. Mess tin and spoon in hand as he chows down, looking off to the side in an interesting pose. Perhaps surveying the traffic rolling by?

Another lovely pose on this guy, who is seen resting perhaps on a wall or a tree or even the side of a vehicle, your choice. He is eating his lunch and would be a goof pairing with his other lunch mate.

This "Poindexter" looks very much like he is new to the scene, the war and the ride that he is on. Seen in steel-rimmed glasses (two headgear choices with this figure) as he sits on a metal ammo equipment case with a pipe in his hand. Maybe he's just a shy guy, huh? 

These figures all give a varied round out of the many different types of men that are thrown together in wartime in a single unit.
