Gallery: Gary's 48th scale Horten Ho 229 from Zoukei-Mura

Here's one we did not show you yet - We thought it only proper to give you a decent walk around the final, finished gallery of Gary Wickham's build of Zoukei Mura’s new 48th scale Horten. The build turned out so well we think you all deserve the diversion into a "What-if future" scenarios from ZM and Gary-san.

In brief:
Gary used a mix of Gunze Mr Color paints thinned with their Levelling Thinners for the colours on this bird. He painted the model with his Iwata Revolution brush with a 0.5mm needle.
Gary used Alclad Aluminium for the shiny metal areas of the aircraft and he coated the whole model with several light coats of Future before decalling, future again with around 3-4 light coats of thinned Future (roughly 1:1 with Tamiya Acrylic thinners)

Gary used MiG's Ammo pre-mixed washes for the panel line washes before he applied a final coat of Flat Clear with Polly Scale Flat Clear (acrylic) to bring the paint finish back to a realistic sheen.
The base Gary made to complement (and give the model some base in reality which he always seems to do so well) is explained in Part II of the build in the links below.
