We have already shown you the first new-tool Mustang from Eduard in 48th scale recently - This was the variant with added dorsal fin released in  August in a Limited Edition package called "Chattanooga Choo Choo"  - just in time for the  IPMS National Convention in Chattanooga, Tennessee on August 7th. The whole first run of kits has already been sold out  (and we hear they are making more to fill the need).
To fill the space for "more Mustangs!" next in the family is the original P-51D-5 model Mustang ( focussing on aircraft without the dorsal fin) to be released in October as a ProfiPACK release.
The sprues for these kit have already been sent to select people so we hear (not us lol) for the non-dorsal fin variant - here is the sprue map sowing the parts breakdown
Being a profiPACK there are of course pre-painted photo-etch parts and a mask sheet included in the pack with the plastic parts and decals.

In the kit there are decals printed by Cartograf for five Mustangs in SIX variations of very attractive Mustangs:  (one aircraft is featured with two choices of markings)

The future of this model family from Eduard?
The D-10-NA production block will be part of the December Royal Class release. These kits will contain several interior details variable choices, various canopies, antennas, instrument pannels, gunsights, radios and batteries, etc. This scheme is focused on exterior differences of actual variants.
