The German army has always been an icon for modelers around the world. Of course, WWII models have a huge following and have been the darling of the industry for decades, partly because the major Asian brands have covered almost all the vehicles that operated during WWII and due to the abundance of existing historical documentation for modelers.
Bundeswehr vehicles have been less popular with modelers and some variants could only be made from resin kits or by complex conversions.
Everything evolves, and in recent years (since the late 1990s) the biggest brands have devoted more and more resources to the development of scale models of various operational Bundeswehr vehicles.
The interest of fans in modern tanks has also fueled this model variant, which now occupies an increasingly important place.

Rafa "Archiduque" is a recognized wargaming miniatures painter who collaborates with different
brands of figures, among them Perry Miniatures. He also writes painting articles for different
publications.
This set contains a personal selection of shades for painting 28mm miniatures set in the Thirty Years'
War. This range of colors can be used perfectly for the English Civil War as well. The shades can also
be extrapolated to figures of different scales.
The shades are selected for painting 28mm miniatures with the triad system and includes a guide
for use inside the box.
The Thirty Years' War was a politico-religious conflict fought in Central Europe that confronted an
anti-Habsburg and Protestant coalition against the Catholic allies of the Habsburg Monarchy.
It lasted from 1618 to 1648 and ended with the Peace of Westphalia. Regarding uniformity, there was
no homogeneity on any side, except for the Swedish army that did have some regulation.
The armies to identify themselves on the battlefield used to use feathers, sashes or armbands with
their national colors.

The origin of the Spanish Tercios as such dates back to the reign of Charles I in 1534 and represents the culmination of a military renewal initiated some time before by the Catholic Monarchs under the command of the Great Captain.
The Spanish Tercios were from their birth and for almost two centuries,the most lethal infantry in Europe. Their fearsome efficiency derived from an exceptional combination of firearms (arquebus and musket) with the pike and the sword, which was a true revolution in the military tactics used
up to that time.
There was no uniformity for the soldiers and each one was equipped according to his tastes and what he liked, and what their economy allowed them, normally following the fashions of the time. They incorporated handkerchiefs, ribbons or a colored sash to distinguish themselves from
their enemies in battle.
