ASKA Studio designing a new 1/35th scale B-17G for Border?

OK, so It seems that large aircraft modellers will have another choice soon when it comes to the B-17G. ASKA studio is teaming up with Border model to make a new 35th scale Flying fortress...

ASKA Studios designing a new 1/35th scale B-17G for Border?

After their work on the Kate and the recent He-111 kit, ASKA Studio looks to be designing Border Model's newest forthcoming kit, the B-17 Flying Fortress in 1/35 (!) scale!!!

Two of ASKA's previous works in 1/35th scale...
Now, love this or not, there is certainly some ambition to bring this common military scale to the masses, and we think there is room (err, maybe, physically?) for it with those who have not got one of the very nice 1/32nd scale B-17's from HK model already out there.
We would think that this would have to be a significant improvement for those who already have the kit in 1/32 to come around, but who knows.

The third (And fourth) way to look at it is that there are PLENTY of 3D printed options out there on the market - and the difference in size isn't all that much anyway, most people could not tell the difference between the figures and equipment to match both of these similar scales.

The market will decide, but until then we will with this one with interest...

Check out the ASKA Studio FB page for more news on their kits as they come off the CAD screen...
