The Shining Red Star - MENG’s upgraded Tiger M to be released…

 MENG’s latest tiger has not tracked, and it isn’t a “King” tiger – it’s actually the 35th scale Russian GAZ 233115 “Tiger-M” SpN SPV model kit. It has all of the features of the upgraded Humvee counterpart – let’s have a look and see what is in store.

In recent years, Russia has been carrying out a large military expansion. Russian Armed Forces have received various new weapons, including the Russian “Tiger” armoured high-mobility vehicle.

The GAZ 233115 “Tiger-M” SpN SPV is an upgrade version of the GAZ 233014 “Tiger”. It’s mainly provided to Russian special forces. It features a new engine, a new armoured hood, air filter installation, smoke grenade launcher installation and an improved brake system. An “AGS-17” 30mm automatic grenade launcher or a “Pecheneg” 7.62mm machine gun can be installed on the vehicle roof. Now, the “Tiger-M” is mass-produced and now supplied to Russian Armed Forces.

Off-road car GAZ Tigr (pictured armoured variant GAZ-233115 Tiger-M SPN) is basically a newer Russian counterpart of the US HMMWV vehicle (Hummer).

The Tiger-M was announced during the 2010 Interpolitex exhibition,. It featured a new YaMZ-534 diesel engine, a new armoured hood, air filter installation, an increase in the number of rear passenger seats (from 8 to 9) and the replacement of the bicuspid rear hatch with a large square hatch.

Currently, the Tiger-M is mass-produced and supplied to the Russian Army, including with the new Arbalet-DM remote control weapons station which is composed of 12.7mm Kord and 7.62mm PKTM machine guns

That kit has been popular thanks to its delicate design, excellent fit and high-quality accuracy. Now, its upgraded version, the VS-008 Russian GAZ 233115 “Tiger-M” SpN SPV model kit is coming. What features will this new MENG product have?

The mighty “Tiger-M” vehicle front is accurately replicated.

All doors can be built closed or open to show the interior details. 

There are fine details on the vehicle roof. The weapon mount is rotatable.

 Clear parts are provided for all lights. Front wheels are steerable.
