Today we take a second walk around the rest of the hall on Industry Day 2 at the Shizuoka Hobby Show, 2025. Today we take a look at some of the other model makers that are taking part, either in their own stalls or in cooperation with distributors selling them in Asia and Japan.

We look at some of the model companies' kits they have brought in this preview...

UMA Model had their great new 48th scale AV-8B Harrier on display. This is coming to hobby shops as we speak. Two were on display, one built & one in bare plastic along with sprues at the show.

Zimi Model had their brand-new tooled kits of many heavy artillery from US stock at the show buildup in test kit form. They are ready to launch soon with a whole new range.

An impressive WRC racing spec GR was on display from BelKits, with the parts and a test kit showing the model plus the impressive colours.

Fujimi Godzilla Minus One kit looks impressive, and we love the action pose.

Kotobukiya's new Star Citizen line was there in full with other new items.

Hobby Boss, available from the Doyusha stand has released test shots of the 1/350 Lord Clive, 1/35 Archer self-propelled howitzer, 1/48 Challenger 2, 1/48 A-4C

SALV MODEL, available from Beaver Corporation, has made resin kits of JMSDF destroyers in 1/700 scale! In addition to the already announced Murasame-class completed model, Kongo-class, Atago-class, and Hayabusa-class missile boats are to follow.

Fujimi's display include the usual Japanese centric kits, with several native cars and trucks

Platz distribution had lots of different brands on show, including the beautiful cars of Bemax.

Italeri's kits are there on the Platz distribution stand

As was Heller...

Modelcollect had their "What-if?" kits on display also with aircraft, mecha tanks, & paper panzers.

Kaiyodo booth, ARTPRA's new work "Godzilla Re:Imagination" by Shinobu Matsumura, unveiled up close.

AFV Blub is there as part of the GSI Distribution stand. They always bring their newest and most impressive kits; this time was no different.

Aoshima always has a great big stand just to your left when you enter the main hall from the centre of the show. Normally with a real car, the subject of their latest release at the show. We loved seeing their 1/32nd scale Beetles completed sample on display.
They also had lots of prototypes of mainly Japanese classics due for release this year in rough form (so far)

Border Model was at the show at a distributor's table. Not only were there new CAD posters showing their 35th-scale P-51D & SBD-3/4 kits, but their He-111 sprues were there, and some new massive mechas. They are really branching out!

Finemolds is always at the show across from the Tamiya booth. They have many kits on display, mostly smaller scales, but with great detail.
Their new 72nd scale F-4 model, the late E and F models, was on display. Their leading-edge slats are made into separate parts to make them fully posable.

Hasegawa always has a great big stand at the show, and this year they did not fail to deliver, with plenty of new releases (plus, no doubt, many re-boxings). Highlights including the R30 Skyline, 3MA, and Idemitsu Civic due for releas in a month.

The Model Art booth was exhibiting examples using the popular "Special Decal Setl. 1," as well as a completed sample of the "Area 88 Base," due for release next month. We will also be selling the "Area 88 Patch," which is also scheduled to be released next month

Hong Kong Model's new 48th scale A-20 Boston & B-25J Straffer were on show. These are great kits and just as detailed as their 32nd-scale siblings.

Valeria Buzina, Managing Director of ICM, was present at the Shizuoka Hobby Show this year, with plenty of their kits on display.

Mini Base had their kits at the GSI Creos booth, and we got to see another look at their new-tooled test shot kits of the F-16A/B currently under development. The air brakes in this kit are 3D-printed parts, while the weapons are one-piece moulded using slide moulding technology. Both one- and two-seaters were present.

Moebius Models had the Discovery from 2001 there in 350th scale. Gee, it is looooooooongggg...

X Plus Models' display includes the Jurassic Park monsters and new monsters from the Universal Studios stable of scary movies, including Kong & Frankenstein's monster.
The Jurassic Park series of kits are on show, with their new 1/35th scale Spinosaurus, T-Rex & Velociraptor

Zoukei-Mura had some new releases there. A surprise was their 1/32 scale Horten Ho 229B Nachtjäger, which was announced with a prototype there on the table, a sensible move from them seeing Takom's release of this year.

We will have more to show you from the main modelling hall along with photos of new items debuting at the Shizuoka Hobby Show, so keep checking back to see more of one of the most important shows on the modelling calendar as it happens!
